  20. MPG was written out of frustration. Originally, I used the built-in
  21. version of Lotus 1-2-3 to keep track of the Miles/Gallon performance of
  22. my car. This was fine until I wanted to load several applications at
  23. once. With the memory requirements of 1-2-3 being so high it just 
  24. seemed like a case of overkill.

  27.    *  a low memory requirement (128k)
  28.    *  a small executable size (under 20k)
  29.    *  the ability to calculate on the fly
  30.    *  integrated error checking
